When to Call the Doctor or Clinic
Sometimes, you need to call the doctor or get help right away. Here are some signs:
• Bleeding that will not stop. • Any injury that you think can lead to your child's death.
• Your child has trouble breathing.
• Fever of 103 degrees F (rectal), if your baby is between 6 months and 2 years old.
• Fever of 101 degrees F (rectal), if your baby is between 2 and 6 months old.
• Fever of 100.2 degrees F (rectal), if your baby is younger than 2 months old.
• Your child has booth a fever and a stiff neck.
• Your child has a hard time swallowing or won't eat.
• Pain in the ear or liquid, pus, or blood coming out of your child's ear.
• The soft spot on your baby's head is bulging or sunken.
• Diarrhea and no urine for 5 hours.
• Coughing up or throwing up blood.
• Blood in your child's urine or BM (bowel movement).
• These are a short list of when to call the doctor or get help right away.
