What can I do to prevent chocking?
• Babies and young children can chock on foods such as:
• Popcorn, Peanuts, Chewing Gum, Hot Dogs, Grapes, Small Candies, Raisins, and more.
• Do not give young children anything to eat that is small, round, and hard.
• Children can choke on:
• Balloons, Coins, Batteries, Cherry pits, And more.
• Teach children to chew food well. Cut up foods like hot grapes, vegetables, and hot dogs in very small pieces.
• Watch your children while they eat.
• Do not let your child run with anything in the mouth.
• Check all toys for small parts that can be pulled off.
• Do not give young children toys with small parts.
• Check your baby's pacifier for cracks and breaks before using it. It is recommend to change pacifiers every 2 to 4 months.
